Q & A: What's the most difficult thing about...
What is the most difficult thing about being employed by a church?
(from Brian) My answer would be two-fold: 1. It's tough balancing ministry with personal/family life. I know balancing work and family is always tough, but when eternity is at stake, it makes saying "no" more difficult. I appreciate that our leadership is very supportive of the staff and values the roles we have that no one else can do (and no one else can fulfill my role as husband and father). 2. In our line of work, a job is rarely done. Helping people grow in Christ is our role, and that job is ongoing. I think this is why I like to mow my yard. I like the sense of completion.
